What is OneLogin?

  • OneLogin is a system that offers an enhancement to the users experience and increased security by remembering and securely saving and transmitting usernames and passwords to compatible web and other enterprise applications.

What is SSO – Single Sign On?

  • SSO stands for Single Sign-On where the system passes your credentials through the logon process without needing to type your credentials.

What is MFA – Multifactor Authentication?

  • MFA stands for Multifactor Authentication.  MFA strengthens the login process by requiring another requirement to login.   For the longest time, all we had was “something you know” - your credentials, which comprise of your username and password.  Now we have the OneLogin Protect App tied to your account.  This is something you have.  When you login using MFA, you will still need your username and password but now the OneLogin Protect app will require you to acknowledge the app at login.

How do I use it and the mobile phone app OneLogin Protect?

  • When you’re at a care center:  Use the Google Chrome web browser on a Vera laptop using links on The HUB.
  • When your offsite/remote: in addition to your laptop, you’ll need your mobile phone to complete the login process. There will be multiple ways to access SSO enabled apps through your Google Chrome web browser, including The HUB links, the web extension or going to https://vwh.onelogin.com and saving this bookmark.

What applications are available to use with this?

  • Not every application is compatible with SSO.  Vera IT will be enabling applications over time.

Can I request an application to be enabled so I don’t have to remember all these passwords?

  • Yes, you can contact the vendor of the application and enquire.  Usually only large software vendors offer this and sometimes there is a cost.
  • You may also save passwords to web applications instead of using the previously recommended password management products. Look for this in the right corner of the Chrome web browser:
  •

What if I lose my phone or don’t have access to it when needing to login or if I get a new phone?

  • IT can remove the enrollment on mobile phones remotely and quickly. Please report a lost phone or attempts to access your phone.
  • If you get a new phone, you may manage any mobile enrollments by going into your profile in OneLogin Portal, including deleting your previous phone enrollments.
  • In case of emergency, you may call the IT emergency phone and a person will get back to you to use a workaround process to get access as a temporary workaround. Be prepared to provide proof of identity.

What are the security questions for?

  • Password Reset. This is a self-service password reset system which you will use in case you forget your Vera password and need to reset it. There is no need to open an IT ticket for forgotten or expired Vera passwords.
  • You can reset your security questions by going into your profile in https://vwh.onelogin.com and going to ‘Security Factors’ and clicking the 3 dots for options.
